I don't. If the league is amateur enough not to care about the camera advantage, why care about the driving side advantage?

Other than a possible faster car, there'll be rounds when all our drivers will be british (RHD) and rounds that the most of our drivers will be from places that use LHD. Doesn't make much sense to penalize some drivers for something that isn't their fault...

Oh well. It looked like you guys were building a strong team. This is not my business but how come 5 hours/day?? That can't be right.. it's a LFS team, not a worldwide corporation.

Anyways, good luck Tommy.

I guess the FZRs are still faster, or at least easier to drive. The XRRs (ours anyway) is quite consistent throught the stint and high 1:11s should be possible at some point. It's very likely to roll on some corners thought, so we have to balance things a bit and not push like crazy all the time. No idea about the FXRs.

We'll see, can't wait for the race! And stop blaming my setup!!

To be honest I don't really care. Being a business is the worst part of F1, having to keep everyone entertained. Then you see stupid rules like that coming up all the time because there's little to do on the sport side without any major regulations change.

I'm fine either way. I like a few drivers, a few teams, but I'm not fanatic. I just enjoy watching the drivers driving, the cars going, even at Hungaroring.

I kinda like it. I think. Maybe.

Not that it needed changes really. A bit more points to the winner would be better.

I'd agree if my post was something like "McLaren is doing bad because of Hamilton alone". Wich it wasn't.

I don't know about those things, but I don't think the drivers have much influence in a car design from scratch. But I think they must have in the development of the car during the season. They are the ones who drive the car, they should at least know things like "traction is poor" and pass that info forward.

I don't remember clearly what happened in Bahrein, and I'm at work so I can't keep searching things... but wasn't that race Hamilton rear ended Alonso, and then struggled the rest of the race because of the contact? I don't remember why he was back there, but I'm sure he'd be in the top 5 if it was a normal race. I won't consider Heikki's performance.

Anyway, I'd hardly consider the 3rd best car in the first race to best car in the last race as a incredible achievement, specially when the 2nd force gave up on the fight in the middle of the season.

Surely one driver can't save the day alone these days, but he can help saving it. I'm just not convinced Hamilton is the kind of guy that can make a difference outside the cockpit (he can inside).

(sorry I ran out of time here, will have to stop writing :shy

Quote from UncleBenny :He's a one man team!

Well we all knew that already, didn't we? :P

Seriously now, I'm curious to see how he's going to perform this year. New regs, he will have to develop the car, the setups... Things that I'm not sure yet he can do well - maybe that explains the poor performance so far?

To be honest I highly doubt McLaren is as bad as it looks, but I don't think it'll be as good as it was. We saw last year how Alonso can change things during the season. I guess McLaren will have a similar path - but do they have the right drivers to change the game in their favor?

Don't worry, you'll get more unlocks the next week.

By the way this should be in the General LFS Discussion forum.

Oh just noticed this thread today, guess I've not been visiting the Off Topic section as much as I could.
I didn't read much as I'm at work at the moment, but I did notice that most posts are from UK - wich was expected. Where are the germans though?

Anyway, a bit of an international news: after (another) severe knee injury, a giant belly and over a year without playing football, the formerly PSG, Real Madrid, Internazionale and Milan player (sorry if I forgot any), 3-times world's best player and all-time World Cup's leading scorer Ronaldo is finally coming back! He's currently playing for S.C. Corinthians, a team from São Paulo.

After a couple of months of preparation to (almost) get in shape again, he played the final 25min of a Brazil's Cup match (something like your FA Cup) last wednesday. Despite trying a couple of individual plays, he didn't do much - and wasn't needed, as we were already winning 2-0 when he entered the field.

On sunday though, on a Paulista League's match (a regional São Paulo league), he went on the field with ~35min left and losing 0-1 against top of the table and arch rival Palmeiras. This time he was more agressive: a long shot that exploded in the post (after leaving a guy behind), a cross wich almost resulted in goal (after leaving a guy behind), and finally... at the last minute, we got a corner kick... a precise header between the goalkeeper and the post and his first goal in a brazilian team after more than 10 years. Saved the day!

Ronaldo's a bit bigger than you'd expect from a football player, but far better than the shape we got used to see him in the last year. Tonight we'll play against a smaller-but-tough team, and he's expected to play at least half time. We'll see.

Ps. Sorry this post got a bit long, but it's not everyday we brazilians get to see such an important player in a brazilian team.

But then again we're probably using unreal setups, wich then need unreal driving style and, combined with unreal hard driving, leads to unreal tyre heating. Maybe.

Quote from AleksejBASOwarrior :I thik that is no point to make races longer than ther already planed to be. Otherwise, the race is starts to be thinkg about how to save tyres more than driving itself.

I think there is, driving as fast as you can while keeping your car in shape is a good challenge. I'd choose one longer race over 2 sprints anytime, but that's just me.

Ok a normal lazy crap roadcar now...

From all the cars I've driven (nothing fancy really), the little stock Suzuki Swift '95 1-litre 3-cylinders had the most exciting sound - how ironic, eh?

This video almost do it justice: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAjBj2JC1XA
